Rutland London is delighted to bring our Clients the latest design trends and aesthetics to be considered within bathroom projects during 2021. While certain design statements such as marble and Polished (Unlacquered) Brass remain an obvious choice for luxury bathrooms, in 2021 the greatest movements are like no previous years. A complex blend of black sanitaryware, Bronze and Brushed Brass finishes alongside floral tiles offers a bold yet timeless series of aesthetics which stand aside from the trends of previous years.
Black Sanitaryware
The greatest and latest trend of 2021 is the implementation of black accents throughout the bathroom. Black accents offer an urbanist appeal through bold yet minimal industrialist styling which is well suited to any home - either modern or traditional.
Rutland London’s Goodwood Vanity Suite is a prime example of the enduring aesthetic of black sanitaryware. Gone are the days of marked white basins and uncreative WC’s, black sanitaryware is both a practical and stylish sanitaryware choice. The black accents of dark sanitaryware compliment a broad range of brassware finishes adding definition to any space, no matter the size of interior you are working with.
Brushed Brass
Brushed Brass is an increasingly popular choice for bathroom spaces. Emanating a luxurious appeal, Brushed Brass is a timeless finish which develops a beautiful and desirable patina as it gradually ages and oxdises. All of Rutland London’s timeless brassware collections from shower enclosures to accessories are available in a Brushed Brass finish.
While adding Brushed Brass elements into the bathroom is not a revolutionary feature by any means, the broad range of both traditional and contemporary brassware pieces available in this finish ensures it is well suited to the needs of luxury bathroom schemes of all types.
Bronze
Similar to Brushed Brass, Bronze has also been a popular choice among Clientele during early 2021. Like black sanitaryware, the dark hue of Rutland London’s Bronze finish creates an aura of sophistication and elegance. Bronze can be installed to create multiple different traditional or contemporary aesthetics and is well suited to a lighter backdrop, we specifically note the current popularity of Morrocan Plaster.
It is notable that Rutland London currently offers a broad range of bronze finishes including Bronze, English Bronze, City Bronze, Rouge Bronze and Architectural Bronze. Each variation is intended to offer a subtle difference whilst capturing a unique personality and aesthetic ensuring Rutland London is able to meet the design ambitions of every Client.
Floral Tiles
The final trend of 2021 is the appearance of Floral Patterns as tiling in the shower. ELLE Decor, in their December 2020 edition lay their predictions for 2021 trends, a prominent feature of this being the appearance of floral patterns in the bathroom.
Rutland London’s continued collaboration with Parkside Architectural Tiles showcases a variety of botanical patterns, perfect for tiling your bathroom space. Botanical features can be added many different ways whilst simultaneously offering an ambience of relaxation and mindfulness via either a calming leafy sanctuary or a warming tropical jungle.
