DESCRIPTION
Learn more about the Kensington Column Radiator
The Kensington Floor Mounted Column Radiator from Rutland London combines exceptional heat output with timeless English craftsmanship, making it a striking centrepiece for period homes, listed buildings and ambitious interior projects. Featuring a beautifully engineered three-column radiator supported by elegant solid brass legs, the Kensington delivers outstanding performance whilst celebrating the enduring appeal of traditional heating design.
Every Kensington Floor Mounted Column Radiator is handmade to order in our family-owned factory in Hampshire by our skilled colleagues. Constructed using 32mm DZR brass tube, precision-engineered 75mm brass wall and floor plates, and a premium Italian three-column radiator, each piece is carefully assembled, hand finished and pressure tested before leaving our workshop. The result is a luxury heating appliance that combines exceptional durability with refined, architectural styling.
The Kensington Floor Mounted Column Radiator is suitable for connection to a closed circuit central heating system or can be specified as a fully electric radiator where traditional plumbing is impractical. This flexibility makes it ideal for both renovation projects and new-build homes. Please note that the radiator should only be installed on a closed heating circuit and is not suitable for domestic hot water systems. We also do not recommend installation on systems using salt-softened water, unless otherwise agreed with your installer.
Every Kensington Floor Mounted Column Radiator features a durable aerospace-grade matt paint finish, providing exceptional resilience for everyday use. In addition to our carefully selected range of standard paint colours, Rutland London can also supply gloss or satin finishes, together with bespoke colours or close matches to leading paint brands including Farrow & Ball, Little Greene and Paint & Paper Library, allowing the radiator to integrate beautifully within your interior scheme.
The Kensington Floor Mounted Column Radiator is available to purchase today with its brass framework finished in Polished (Unlacquered) Brass. Similar to many finishes offered by Rutland London, Polished (Unlacquered) Brass is a living finish which will naturally age and develop a rich patina over time. The rate and extent of this natural patination will depend upon the environment in which the product is installed. Rutland London also offers more than 40 handcrafted brass finishes, including variations of Brass, Bronze, Nickel, Copper and Gold, allowing every visible brass component to be perfectly coordinated with your wider heating and bathroom scheme.
The Kensington Floor Mounted Column Radiator is available in a range of sizes and can be specified with central heating or electric operation to suit your project. Should you require a bespoke size, paint colour or one of our more than 40 handcrafted brass finishes, we encourage you to contact our colleagues at
sales@rutlandlondon.co.uk, who will be delighted to assist with your project.

COLUMN / CAST IRON
Discover the differences
Rutland London offers homeowners and designers an extensive portfolio of both column and cast iron radiators - each respective product type offers their own benefits and these should be considered prior to purchasing.
Cast iron radiators offer a classic appearance synonymous with the historic radiators often found within period properties. However, their external surface can be considered to be "rustic" - this is an unavoidable feature of cast iron and can include pitting, burrs and other manufacturing marks. Similarly, it should also be considered that cast iron radiators can in some instances exceed 200kg in weight and handling onsite should be considered.
Column radiators offer a more contemporary and streamlined appearance. Being made from steel their weight is significantly less than that of their cast iron equivalents.
In each instance Rutland London acknowledges that there will be an aesthetic requirement which may dictate your product choice, however we recommend noting the above points.
