Every Norland Heated Utility Rack is handmade to order in England by skilled colleagues within our family-owned Hampshire factory. Manufactured from 32mm diameter DZR (Dezincification Resistant) brass tube, complemented by beautifully engineered 100mm diameter solid brass wall and floor plates and paired with a high output cast iron radiator, every heated utility rack is carefully fabricated, silver soldered, polished and individually hand finished. Unlike many luxury heating brands, every Rutland London heated utility rack is manufactured within our own Hampshire factory, allowing complete control over craftsmanship, quality and finish. From precision fabrication and silver soldering through to polishing, hand finishing, pressure testing and final inspection, every stage of production is carefully controlled to deliver exceptional durability, engineering excellence and a beautifully refined finish.
The Norland is supplied with three integrated utility hooks as standard, providing practical storage for coats, bags, towels and everyday household items. Additional hooks are available on request, whilst hooks may also be positioned on a lower rail to improve accessibility for children where required.
The high output cast iron radiator delivers generous warmth throughout the room, making the Norland particularly well suited to larger kitchens, utility rooms and boot rooms where exceptional heating performance is required. The enlarged 100mm diameter solid brass wall and floor plates provide a more substantial architectural presence, creating a beautifully engineered focal point within the room.
The Norland Heated Utility Rack is available in Central Heating, Electric and Dual Fuel configurations. The Central Heating model connects directly to your property's heating system, whilst the Electric version provides an elegant standalone solution where plumbing installation is limited. For year-round flexibility, the Dual Fuel configuration combines both systems, allowing the heated utility rack to operate independently during the warmer months without switching on the central heating.
Please note however that this product should only be installed on a closed circuit system and that we do not recommend fitting on a salt softened water system unless otherwise agreed with your installer. In addition, please note that this product cannot be fitted on a hot water system.
The Norland Heated Utility Rack is available to purchase today in Polished (Unlacquered) Brass. Similar to many finishes offered by Rutland London, Polished (Unlacquered) Brass is a living finish which will naturally age and develop a rich patina over time. The rate and extent of this natural patination will depend upon the environment in which the product is installed. Whilst available to purchase today in Polished (Unlacquered) Brass, Rutland London also offers more than 40 handcrafted brass finishes, including variations of Brass, Bronze, Nickel, Copper and Gold. Every finish is individually applied by hand, allowing the Norland to complement both traditional and contemporary interiors whilst ensuring every visible brass detail throughout the room is perfectly coordinated.
The cast iron radiator is finished in a highly durable aerospace-grade coating, providing exceptional durability whilst maintaining its elegant appearance for years to come. Rutland London can also supply the radiator in a bespoke colour, including gloss and satin finishes, or colours closely matched to leading paint manufacturers such as Farrow & Ball, Little Greene and Paint & Paper Library, allowing the Norland to be tailored to complement your wider interior design scheme.
